More Power Where You Need It Most!

Gibson cat-back exhaust systems deliver more power from 2000 - 4000 RPM than other exhaust systems. Other systems claim more power, but in the 5000 - 6000 RPM range, which is never used by street driven vehicles. Gibson performance exhaust systems improve exhaust flow and create more power where you need it! Turbulence exists at every point the exhaust gas ''pulse'' enters or exits an exhaust component. Gibson reduces turbulence to the absolute minimum in two ways. The first is with it's patented Superflow™ design, which assists the exhaust gas in its flow out of the system. The second, and most important in the reduction of turbulence, is the ''slip fit'' joining of all components. Each pipe fits into the larger opening of the next down stream exhaust pipe. This method contributes little turbulence when compared to ''ball-and-socket'' or ''flange-and-gasket'' joining, which can create substantial power robbing backpressure and turbulence at each component joint. Or worse, a misaligned gasket or socket can actually create more backpressure than your current stock system!

The split rear system and the dual sport system will be about 5-8 decibels louder than a stock system. The quietest system is the single swept side system. It produces a nice deep throaty sound outside, and is just slightly above stock in the cab. All Gibson exhaust systems are made with mandrel bent tubing for the least restriction possible. Not only does this reduce restriction, but creates a consistent flow throughout the system. The Superflow™ mufflers use a baffled and chambered dynamic structure which delivers dramatically higher exhaust flow when compared to a packed or screened muffler.

Too large a pipe without the proper muffler will reduce low end torque but increase top end power. Gibson does not build their exhaust kits to flow as much as possible, but as efficiently as possible. That's why the right choice is Gibson exhaust!

Split Rear Exhaust
For the enthusiast who wants an awesome look and aggressive powerful sound this split rear bolt-on cat-back exhaust is for you. Gibson’s exhaust systems decrease backpressure, allowing the engine to produce more torque, increase horsepower. Typical gains average of 15-20 horsepower. On some vehicles the spare tire may need to be relocated or removed. Works with most bumpers, roll pan and trailer hitches. Not recommended for towing, because carbon monoxide may be drawn into the interior rear of a vehicle when an exhaust pipe directly exits to the rear of the vehicle. Exhaust can be louder under towing conditions.
